The Moore Stampede

Sunday was the annual Moore Stampede. That's what I call it anyway... Every fall after the crops are harvested, the men puts some of their cattle in the big fields. They stay there during the winter and eat the left over crops. Then before they get ready to start planting they move the cattle. It's a big deal because they have to herd them out of the fields, down the main road a little ways, and herd them along another field and then into the pasture. This year went pretty smooth. Only one big bull wanted to be a butt and not cooperate. But they handled it. I always like to watch this, so this year I was the picture taker. Now remember, Sunday morning we woke to snow on the ground. The temp wasn't too bad at 1:30 but the wind was so cold! I put on about three layers, a hat to cover my ears, and gloves; I was ready to go! I stayed in the back of Uncle John's truck most of the time taking pictures. Some of them were a little blurry b/c I was taking pictures while the truck was in motion. I tell ya, being the photographer is not always fun and games... But I had a blast! It's amazing to watch these guys in action.
